Rightclick is your friend!
Be sure to click on everything in messiah with your right mousebutton.
- In the world view, you get options to mirror around different axes, not just Z, to store and load views, change the drawing mode of objects and work with groups and poses.
On almost all of the main and sub tabs you get advanced options. There are so many, I just pick out some of the most important:
- File Tab: "Launch Docs" and "Save Config".
- Animate Tab: Activate the "Immediate Mode" and set some options.
- Setup Tab: Connect objects to the host, mirror and copy objects...
- Command Tab: "View Function List" opens a text file with all commands messiah knows and a short description.
- Edit Tab: Bake and Erase Key Ranges.
- Play Tab: Record, Clear and Activate Previews.
- Customize Tab: Switch to different interface colors and styles, quickly access onionskinning and enable/disable the grids in views.
- Render Tab: Render previews and frames, update samples and store your current render parameters as default!
The most important things on sub tabs are:
- Compose/Clips: Load and save clips.
- Render/Surfaces: Here you can create new lights and rendergroups and activate "Sync Object Selection" (so if you select an object in the surfaces list, it will also be selected in the world view).
- Render/Materials: Save and load materials, copy and delete them, "Delete Unused Materials" and select objects that use the current material!
- Render/Settings: Save and load render settings, "Use Current Settings as Default"!
Besides all this, you can also right click on the material previews, on the top bar of each material node, on the autosize icons above the Graph Editor...
